Imagine you’re married. And your spouse cheated on you. What’s the most logical thing to do?
You divorce her.
But what if you love her so much that you couldn’t bear to do that?
You keep her with you.
But deep down within your heart, you know for certain that things aren’t going to be the same. So what do you do?
In order to arouse her love for you, you counsel her and offer her all things necessary for her to love you once more.
But that’s not going to work in the long run. And you know that. So what do you do? As humans, we are limited. But as God, you might want to work in ways that are slightly out-of-the-box.
In a marriage, we vow to stay together “till death do us part”. But God can’t die, can He? So He created a realm in which He can. This realm is what we now call, the physical reality.
But, before He put Himself in it, He needed to put the consciousness of His wife in it. So in 6 days, He created the universe and everything in it, and He planted the first chosen created Being within it. Then He blew His breath of life into him.
As a new Being with a new physical consciousness, Man needed a life that is similar to what they had in the eternal realm. Hence, in order to make the simulation complete, a spouse was created for him with (his own spirit), modelling the institution of marriage.
At this stage, life was still good. Having a new physical consciousness, the Man and his Wife didn’t know a thing about the eternal realm. But deep down in the heart of God, He knew the reason for all of these.
Back in the eternal realm, war broke out. Out of jealousy, the Archangel Lucifer fell into the world. Out of jealousy, Lucifer suggested the planting of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Knowing that this will ultimately lead humanity to arouse their innate adulterous desire and choose to depart from Him, God agreed.
In their nature, humanity manifested their lust to rise above God by eating of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. This justifies death for humanity in the physical reality. But this death doesn’t mean anything in the eternal realm. A new body is required; one that is different from its previous existence. One that is renewed. One that was not bound by the Old Covenant.
Having completed the creation of the physical universe and watching humanity turn their backs against Him, God planted Himself in a physical body capable of death within the physical universe. At the appointed time, He came and share about a Kingdom that transcends the physical; a Kingdom where He came from. And when the time comes, He fulfilled the “death do us part” by voluntarily destroying His physical body on earth, symbolising the breaking of the Old Covenant. Three days later, He renewed His existence in a body that is different. In this renewed body, He demonstrated that we can all attain this renewed body after the passing of our physical bodies if we put our trust in Him.
With this renewed body, we will be able to enter into a New Covenant with Him — a new “till death do us part” will be proclaimed in the Day of the Lord. In this New Covenant, God will require humanity to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. But this love will not be grounded on nothingness. Rather, it’ll be grounded on what God actually did for us. And whenever we look at Him, His nail-pierced wounds, we will remember the Old Covenant that we’ve broken and be at awe of God’s great love for us.
