The rise of the Antichrist

The Antichrist wasn’t born to be who he is. He was made.

This is a fictional letter, written by Guanocopious (a servant of Lucifer) to Bartholomew (a worn-out pastoral leader in a church). In this letter, Guanocopious uses the Scriptures to lead Bartholomew into questioning the traditions of the church with the intent of accomplishing Satan’s final intention — global domination.

The is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to reality is purely coincidental.

Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us. But they went out, that it might become plain that they all are not of us. – 1 John 2:18-19, ESV.

Dear Bartholomew, my best friend,

Why are you downcast? Why are you sad?

I remember your heart to serve the Church. I remember your passion to lead His sheep. I remember your fervent desire to bring people to Him. But I guess, from the looks of it, they aren’t so supportive of your labour.

You fought for inclusiveness, but they banned the LGBT from leadership.
You fought for harmony, but they insisted on hierarchy.
You fought for love, but they demanded exclusion in the name of purity.
You fought for Oneness, but they stood against you and claim that you’re a cult.

I know, I know. You longed for a family in Him. But look what you got now? All you got is rejection and betrayal. Is this really worth it?

Come now, let’s educate these hypocrites. Rise up against them. Preach love. Cultivate an inclusive culture. Revitalise the church. The church needs a revival.

Remember, the church is made up of sinners like you. They fall some time. You need to lift them up. Question their centuries-long tradition and bring them back to the scriptures. Rewrite worship!

Bartholomew, I don’t want you to be fooled by their ignorance. I don’t want you to carry on with these baseless traditions. Look, if Christ ate with sinners and fellowships with them, why can’t we open the church and allow gays to partake in communion with us? Look, if Christ forgives the adulterous woman, why can’t we accept divorces and remarriages within the church? Worse, why are we still baptising people with water when the scriptures clearly say they’re to be baptised by fire and the Holy Spirit?

Bartholomew, I want you to forgive them for they know not what they do. Lead them to the light. Enlighten them with sound reasoning that is grounded in the scriptures. They do not know who they’re worshipping in their stubbornness. They do not know the hidden secrets behind these ritualistic traditions. Bartholomew, forgive these people.

Here’s an age-old truth that I’d like to reveal to you. This truth concerns eternal life. Bartholomew, I want you to know that whether or not you’re “saved” as claimed by your fellow church-goers, you’ll live forever. Just as how Lazarus and the rich man communicated with each other in the afterlife, so there is eternal life.

Now, the key to a life well lived is to uphold the unity of the human race through the work that you do. Bridge all the gaps that divide humankind! Maintain unity with the world. Spread the gospel of love. Merge the unnecessary divisions within the church. Preach inclusiveness!

Don’t let the Spirit of Division* come in the way of your work. Don’t let the doctrine of hell and condemnation affect the gospel of love. Remember, Bartholomew, uphold unity among men. Surely, this unity will last from now till forevermore.

Never forget the love you had at first.

We’ve got lots of work to do.

Yours sincerely, your fellow servant,

Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. – 1 John 2:22, ESV.

*Note: Some doctrine teaches that the doctrine of God is a doctrine of “division”. This school of thought arises from the notion that God divides things into two. (i.e.: God divides time into day and night, disciples into goats and sheep, followers into wise and the foolish, humankind into men and the women, etc.)

  1. Yes, church is made up of sinners. It is the temple of God. The sinners that partake in church repented! Absolutely repented! They repented as they have believed in Him! Those who have repented and take part in the church-as you have said-have been forgiven.

  2. Good day! This is my first comment here so I just wanted to give a quick shout out and tell you I truly enjoy reading your articles. Can you suggest any other blogs/websites/forums that go over the same topics? Thanks for your time!
